My name is Debra L. Beaumier. Growing up in Northern Maine, I drew inspiration from the beauty of the people and nature around me in the woods, lakes, and common experiences of a simpler and quieter lifestyle.
Although I went on to pursue and complete a formal art education (B.F.A.) and traveled extensively to many wonderful art museums here and abroad, I found that it’s the simple honesty and rawness of American Folk Art and nature that still inspires me most of all.
My hope is that the work that you see on these pages will evoke positive memories and feelings of your own life that will bring a smile to your face and cheer to your day. Enjoy!
Each item is a unique; I strive for detail and quality. My husband, Bob, besides being my greatest encourager, also assists me by cutting blanks for the carvings, helping me find the best tools, collaborating on some designs and even spending time helping me find objects for my artwork. It is truly a labor of love.
There’s so much to explore here; lots of variety and color. Many items can be used to decorate a camp or den, or be presented as a considerate gift. Or, treat yourself! We have holiday offerings, carved wooden dolls, fish, birds and figurines, etc. If you enjoy my unique collection, please take a moment to drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you.
